Farm-to-Factory Traceability
Traceability means being able to answer one question for any container we ship: where did this oil come from, and what happened to it on the way to you? At IndoOils the answer starts with the batch number printed on every container.
In short
- Every container carries a batch number.
- That batch number links to the source region, the production unit, the harvest period, the test results and the packing date.
- We keep these records for every batch we dispatch.
- Customers can ask for the batch records at any time.
What we record for every batch
- Source: the growing or collection region of the raw material.
- Production: whether it was made in our own unit or by a partner distiller, and which one.
- Harvest and production dates.
- Method: how the oil was extracted, for example steam distillation or cold pressing.
- Test results: our in-house checks and the independent laboratory reports.
- Packing: packing date, pack size and the batch number on your container.
- Dispatch: which customer orders the batch was shipped in.
From farm to your factory
1. Farm or collection region. Plant material is bought from regions known for each crop, and each lot is recorded with its source and harvest period.
2. Production unit. The material is processed in our own unit or at a selected partner distiller. The production unit and date are recorded against the lot.
3. Quality check. The batch is tested and the results are linked to its batch number. Only approved batches move ahead.
4. Packing. The oil is filled into sealed aluminium containers labelled with the batch number.
5. Your order. Your CoA and invoice show the same batch number as your container, so every part of your paperwork matches.
Why traceability matters to you
- Audits: food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies are audited on their suppliers. We give you the supply-chain documents your auditor asks for.
- Consistent quality: if you like a batch, we can trace exactly where it came from and aim to match it on your next order.
- Quick answers: if a question comes up, the batch number lets us check that exact material instead of guessing. If action is needed, only the affected batch is involved, not everything you have bought from us.
- Your own label claims: if you tell customers your product uses natural or Indian-origin ingredients, our records back you up.
Organic products
For certified organic products, organic material is kept apart from conventional material at every step, from intake through processing to packing, with separate records. The organic certificate supplied with your order covers the specific lots shipped to you.
